the dot is not inward, but outward with no damage on the coin... it appears elevated as if it were made to have this copper bump/dot on it... would it be worth anything?
You would need to post pics, but it could be a number of things...possibly a large plating blister, maybe an odd die gouge...
All the images are out of focus. in the best of them it looks like it might be zinc rot. Need better images.
our cent coins after 1982 are that darn zinc core with a super thin copper plating. the zinc rots from exposure to the elements of mother nature then swells out and pushes the copper layer outwards. I have seen them warty as a toad frog. sometimes the plating don't fuse to the zinc core and even the newly minted coins can be warty all over. this may be what is wrong with your coin.
your are supposed to look on the bright side. a toad is also a frog . how you doing finding dem errer coins? I gotta look thru a box of cents before long .
ha, ive been looking at every piece of change i get... i got a 1984 quarter today that has the date along the bottom with no rim/edging.. would that be considered an error?
