    You have to use a rare earth magnet, but yes the test is very simple and 99% effective.

    The Trade Dollar is a decent fake , as are the other 2 , the date being off is funny in a sad sort of way , but the old saying you get what you paid for comes to mind . Hope you didn't pay much . But they are worth something as a learning tool , and should be marked copy so others don't get taken in another 30 years .
