Wood streak on nickel Indian rupee coin

    Pretty neat effect on this rupee. I've only seen wood streak on copper coins but not in nickel. No reason why it can't happen in nickel copper coins but it's the first coin that I've handled.

    I see this on a lot of Indian coins, but I never thought of it as something desirable to be honest.

    Very possible since the coin is likely something like 75% copper anyway.
