finaly was able to sell this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281157173690

as soon as i listed with the best offer option I got tones of questions. and 3 offers and I took the highest offer. I should have waited because after i sent the invoice i got a messege from some one saying theyed pay full price. Buyer hadent payed yet and i could have canceled the offer and went with the higher but thats not right.

as soon as paypal gives me my money i want to buy something coin related and make it the most valuable piece or pieces in my collection. no bullion

so what do you think i should buy. in the end ill go with something I like.im ether going to buy my first graded coin or get some thing nice for my 20th/21st century album. or maybe some ancients or more albums. I have alot of reaserch to do because this will be the most I have spent at one time or on one item. Im not even sure if im going to go for one item or a bunch of things.

money will be spent at ether my local coin show or online

cool thing is i paid $1 for it 6 years ago at a thrift store old books used to be my main hobby iv got hundreds of them. this book didnt sell for $350 but im happy with the
$88 offer ive been trying to sell this for 4 months threw antique stores etc. first time i tryied ebay i had it at $250 with no takers this time i figured out how to set a best offer and within 10 minutes i had questions and when I woke up i had 3 offers. luckly i have enough in paypal to cover shipping since pay pal is holding the funds

btw no im not morrmon i think the reason i couldnt sell it on my own was because i couldnt find the right type of buyer . last couple of weeks i have been getting tobbaco coupons sent to me free then id sell them for a little over $1 so this is my biggest sell so far

If you had sold the book in some localized venue in the SLC area you might have gotten a lot more. LDS collectables from that era go for decent amounts of money. I once collected Bishops Storehouse scrip and sold it all off years ago, but wished I had held out when the stuff started selling for obscene amounts recently.

yeah i think i might have sold it to a book store owner in indiana the pay pal name said ***family lds books Is paying shipping threw paypal always cheaper. they charged me $5.15 instead of $5.80

IMO if you don't know what you want to buy it's too soon to spend your money.
Sit back (maybe with a Red Book) and page through until you find a Mint issue that interests you then start a set.
    OR
If you think you'd like to do a thematic set (like your birth year) start it.
    OR
There's the ever popular type set (one coin to represent each design type).

    BUT decide on something coordinated.
    Don't shotgun your purchases.

You should be able to pick up a 1949 S Franklin in MS64 for right around 85 bucks!
