Error?

I have a nickel three cent coin piece that may have an error.

As you can see in the image instead of the date being 1865 it is 1365!

It's either a counterfeit or someones handiwork on an 1865.

 

As I mentioned on another forum I believe the problem is corrosion. The surfaces show pitting from corrosion and it has simply "taken out" the left side of the 8.
