I don't have too many older Costa Rican coins, but for a long time their designs were basically the same. I've always though it was interesting how all the coins say "Central America" on them. Here are the coins I have. Please add your own.

Very nice coins and we had a great vacation there a few years ago.

I have a soft spot for Costa Rican coins as my father was born there.
Unfortunately, I've never been, but I hope to go some day.

I like how the first one has the "HEATON BIRM'M" mintmark spelled out, instead of just an "H" mintmark like one sees on some of the British and Canadian coins that were struck at Heaton in Birmingham, UK.

That 1923 revaluation counterstamp on the 1893 host coin is cool. Haven't seen one like that before.

For whatever reason, my bulk World source bags used to contain a lot of Costa Rican coins. I'll bet I've still got a bunch lying around in smaller bags.

Costa Rica is in few words a beautiful and wonderful country. I have been several times and certainly don't have enough.

This one answers my question about what B.C. stands for on all the coins.
