How many dealers take checks?

    Just to clarify, the numbers on checks don't say anything about how long someone has been a customer of a bank. The numbers, at least on my BofA checks only go to 9999 and then reset. I've been through that several times. Those numbers are for personal records and nothing more.

    Most would take a check if they felt comfortable with the buyer.

    I just spend the little bit of money on the money order. my 2 LCS will take a check but I like to use cash, no transaction thru my account. for out of town dealers they hold a check for a week or a bit more but many will ship right away for a USPS money order. I don't mind the little MO fee for the fast turnaround.
