most of those beyond my budget :D but this one is probably my favorite closely followed by my 1798 (ag/g) and my 1800 Q. (pics of both somewhere on CT lol)

Not high grade but, which one would you want in your collection?

BTW, I cherry picked the overdate for $25 about 4 years ago.

Only have 2 at this time. Either way I still enjoy collecting them.

Go for it - just keep in mind some of the keys are exceptionally expensive and rare. I really enjoy large cents, but taking your time and getting some problem free solid planchets makes for a really nice set. Of course this is my opinion only.

Yeah I have seen that. Trying to finish my wheat cent collection is just as hard.

yes, a few real tough key dates but most are obtainable in ag-ms it all depends on the money you want to put into the set. I'm building a "$20 large cent set" I have made a few exceptions (the 1857 just can't be had for under $100 problem free) but the overall and average price of $20 or less per coin. Some of the coins are excellent, one even AU or darn close others are AG and every range inbetween. The fun is in the hunt :D

I really want a bust cent. I keep searching for a good deal on one but most are high priced unless you want one that has been chewed on.

That's kinda how I'm doing it with the few things I'm really collecting buying a good price buy on occasion and waiting until something really nice comes along and if I have the money springing for it it can be hard to be patient tho and the 4 things I'm really trying to collect are tough especially not being independantly wealthy large cents from 1793-1807 flowing hair and bust dollars a complete run of unc cc Morgan's and a pre 1900 type set my 4 biggest problems are the 93 liberty cap the 94 $1 a small eagle half and an unc 89 cc I may settle on that one for a nice xf or au tho

I don't recommend it, but my Cents have survived two marriages which didn't.

Got this at a pawn shop. Even without the date, it is still my oldest large cent.

It was mixed with other later no dates, 39-57. I figured it was worth a the few bucks I payed.
