    I picked this up for probably more than it's worth, but hey, it's got around 50 chop marks(happy)!:D

    To each their own, but I like to think of it in a different way...imagine how far around the world this coin has traveled!

    Surprised you found one still around. Those went to the smelters by the bagful in the late 70's.

    I would not have bought this coin without the chop marks, as I strongly believe that it was cleaned. The black spots don't help either.

    Ha ha. These are pretty common actually, I picked this up for a reasonable price.

    They minted tons of these over the years, and many were melted

    A bit like the Morgan dollars I'd say, except that they were used like Trade dollars.
