Last night I opened a roll of pennies and went through it as I always do, and I pulled 4 wheats out of it, including a 1918. The wheats have been hitting lately (lottery metaphor is fitting, as roll hunting is like playing the lottery but it's a whole lot cheaper) and I've found a 1910, 1916, and a 1918 in the last week or so.
hhahahaa i always have good luck with wheats but 4 a roll is great the best ive done lately is 14 wheats from 10 dollars in pennies !!! totally in the past 2 weeks has been about 25 wheaties !!
My best per roll - 50/50 - a solid roll of wheats that someone let slip back into the bank somehow. My best box had 146 wheats, including 75 AU-BU 1943 Steel cents.
My best per roll is 50/50x2. 2 rolls of solid wheats from a church deposit. Wish I would have searched silver at that time because I bet there was something awesome. Best I've done with BWR is 6.
One time I went to the bank, I got 10 to 15 rolls of pennies. One of them had close to 20 wheat pennies! Some others had like 5-10. I also found two Indian Heads. I think it was a 1888 and an 1892. Total was over 40 wheats and two Indians! Unfortunately the 2 coins were in horrible condition. Good or worse.
