    Looks like plating issues IMO.

Nope... Split serifs, seperation lines, one close look at Cent and it's oblivious. The obverse has plating and. Color issues but not the reverse. I haven't found it listed but a guy on this site found one exactly the same in 2011. When I get enough coins to send in I'll have it checked by an expert.

This is not a doubled die. I see contact marks, plating doubling, and some light MD. There are no split serifs or separation lines.

Pretty sure plating issues are irrelevant to what he is talking about on the CE, but that doesn't look like doubling either. Could be vibrational, PMD or ?

Here are some more pics. Maybe you are right the light and plating can be deceptive. Oh well I'll put it safe away and keep looking.

I see no evidence of split serifs...there may be some subtle strike doubling and possible PMD, but it is not a doubled die.

Added: the guy that you mention in post #3 was on another forum, and he was referring to doubling in the memorial, not in the letters. He had no pictures of the letters, just of the roof of the memorial.

That looks like plating issues to me.
