This is one of those old stock notes that would be offered in exchange for an office. The date on the front is July 20, 1965, the date that I suppose the bill was forwarded. The date on the back, January 26, 1966, is probably the date that the transaction completed. These sell for about $20-$25.
Truthfully, this is a fairly common stock certificate. They can be found on ebay for around $3. The allegorical figures represent some terrific banknote engraving, despite the low value.
