Wow. I think that looks gorgeous. I can't see how someone can charge $2.5K, but it's Ebay. People will sell stuff for almost anything.
Absolutely incredible pieces. I remember that they would do slick WL halves and make this kind of stuff with them. I heard they were real popular in the 1970s and 1980s.
Maybe I'm reading wrong, but the price I saw on that link was $24.95, which to me is reasonable, considering the amount of work that went into creating that.
lol I thought the exact same thing and had to re-check it 3 times to make sure that I wasn't seeing things and it wasn't $2.5K.
You gotta love internet sales...I mean, they're so easy to mess up you'd think someone would be like are you sure you want to sell for this much?? It is a lovely piece though. I'd carry it around for luck or just to show off..
Gosh, I should start digging out me tanners, I hae o'er a thousand of the buggers, and sell them for a mere 10th the price of those cut outs. Mine are at least whole coin.
Not something that interests me, but I agree that $25 is not jaw-dropping unreasonable. Please correct me if wrong, but I do believe the price revision was done well before the link was posted, so perhaps the OP, in his haste to point the finger at something he deemed unfair, did not bother to double check facts before posting.
Uhm? NO! The price was changed nearly an hour AFTER this thread was posted. They are both time stamped.
is 24.95 now when he 1st posted it, it read $2495.00 so is probably a corrected error on the sellers part
Yes, my apologies. You know what they say about making assumptions, and it seems as if I've proved it true.
