you may be right . I saw one Ebay seller last night that was trying to sell coins that someone beat up with a hammer for around 60.00 and another seller had a beat up coin that was in a body bag and labeled by NGC as a damaged coin and the seller thought this made the coin worth a lot and was asking around 80.00 for it.
if you don't mind robbing someone it probably would work. a lot of folks out there on the internet don't know much about error coins and will buy about anything.
