    Hello all,

Perhaps you can help me out here.

A coworker found this coin in his pocket and gave it to me. Both Lincoln's head and the Memorial are raised, which I believe is a good sign that this was not made by a big hammer or pliers, right? Sorry for the poor photo quality, but I'm at work and only have my phone on me for pictures. If this look legit, I can take more photos at home and post for further evaluation. Any thoughts?

It's hard to tell from the photos, but it appears to me that the "e pluribus unum" above the memorial is mirror image. This is a classic diagnostic for a fake.

Oh it is. You're right. Darn.
    Well thank you anyway.

I agree with Jody...unfortunately this is not a legitimate error.
    Keep up the hunt!

Yes Penny. That's a nice doubled die. You might want to post these on their own threads, just so it gets more attention and you don't hijack someone elses thread. Nice find!

I'll echo what jallen said. If it's a Philly mint, it looks like it could be die #1 and that's a good one!
