How do you know that the giver could even afford to part with whatever it took to acquire the coin in the first place?

Shouldn't emphasis beplaced on the gesture, rather than the gift itself?

    Idiotic post.

Over the years I have given literally thousands and thousands of dollars in coins away to customers/clients and/or their children/grandchildren, but this does not give me the right or a good reason to bash a gift given to a child, or anyone else for that matter. I've also given coins away that were much nicer than most of what you post here, but I've never felt it necessary to jump into one of your threads and throw it into your face. Obviously this boy was touched and excited enough by this gift that he wanted to share it with the rest of us, and I for one am glad he did. Who cares if this gift does not hold great monetary value; the thought and gesture, and the fact that the giver is a friend are what really matters.
