Define 'gently circulated condition', My perception of this term probably runs contrary to what the Danbury Mint perceives. I'll bet most of these coins are in the range of G-VG and and being such, way overpriced. Pass on the offering.

No, it's $59 per coin, not for the whole set. ;)

Even if heavily circulated the scrap value is $7.50/each. Looks like there is 24 in the set.

That's where I was confused. Seemed like it was the complete set. Very misleading.

Named for a former chief engraver at the U.S. Mint, Charles E. Barber, this collection includes one coin from each year of issue and many of the coins in this collection date from the 1800's.

"Each coin is priced at just $59 plus $3.95 shipping and service"
So the whole set with shipping included costs $1510.80.

largecent37 is right it is $59 PER COIN for common Barber halves probably in low grade. so $1510 for the whole set and it will take 2 years to receive all of it. At which point you will have a Barber half year set worth $300 to $350.

but this thread just goes to show some people would buy it without even knowing what they are getting into. How many folks have looked at that page same as the OP and DIDNT ask 'the experts' like the OP did with us?

    Man that thought sucks.....

"Unusual market conditions"? Are they thinking of raising the price even more?

    reread:
Each coin is priced at just $59 plus $3.95 shipping and service, subject only to possible adjustment if unusual market conditions should occur. You will receive your first and last coin individually, while the rest of your coins will ship at the rate of two every other month.

    Per coin!

PM me if you want barbers.
