As a newbie collector ive been trying to find ways to expand my rather small collection (but i must say i have some good stuff in my collection like my peace dollar that i payed $0.00 for). Sometimes i go to the library with a few bucks in worthless quarters and cycle them in the snack machines and one day this gold nevada quarter comes out, anyone have and info on that?
The state quarter program was quite popular, and all sorts of idiotic novelties were sold using them (think late-night telemercial hawkers). For whatever reason - perhaps someone realized that their junk is junk - spent a plated quarter.
