Got some old russian paper notes yesterday at an estate sale and did a bit of research on them but cant figure out hiw to identify the signature marks. I read that the value on the 10 ruble note varies greatly by the signature mark. I have little knowledge on paper notes. Im a coin guy. So id like some help. Value and collectors demand. Thanks guys.
I did not recognize any rare signatures from these not so great quality photos. 1 ruble 1961 worn + graffiti, about $1 10 ruble 1909 $3.50 5 ruble $4 3 ruble $4 Possibly a bit more on eBay, but gonna take some time.
Hi 1 ruble 1961, no signature varieties, catalog reference Pick 222, value in VF grade (from "World Paper Money", 2012) $ 0.50. 3 rubles 1905, three signature varieties, your is the third, I. Shipov, Pick 9c, the note with this signature was really issued since 1912 to 1917. Value (From "World Paper Money", 2008, as the followings) $ 3.00 in VF grade, $ 5.00 UNC. 5 rubles 1909 (issued since 1909 to 1912) signature A. Konshin, Pick 10a, value in VF $ 5.00, UNC $ 15.00, Your is better than VF, but it's not UNC...maybe $ 10.00 (but, as usual, the catalog's values are overstated compared to the real value). 10 rubles 1909, signature Shipov (as 3 rubles) and really issued since 1912 to 1917. Pick 11c, VF $ 2.00 , UNC $ 4.00. petronius
