ebay saved you from being taken. Is the seller still active? what was his ID?

Are sure about that item # 330982603136? I understand the ebay can remove it from availability but it also has evaded google's cache, a feat which is new to me.

Simon ... was that coin really in an ebay auction listing?

I'm not sure what the point of lying about something like this would be...

Google's cache does not attempt to keep up with such ephemeral things as auction listings.

if the listing was removed that means that ebay pulled the listing for some reason, the seller did not end the listing. that happens from time to time.

Sorry if it came off that way. Perhaps I didn't create a very good string of words there. I was trying to reduce variables to figure this out logically when things were just not adding up. We now have the rest of the story. It is certainly a learning example of what sort of conclusions arise from a given set of facts.

It is also strange that google can spit back varying results like that <--- something else that irks
