"Barter Kings is an American reality television series on A&E in the United States. The series premiered on June 12, 2012.[1] It features Antonio Palazzola and Steve McHugh as they trade items for better items without any currency exchange" I know this show is more then likly staged but the ideal does work I love doing this kind of stuff. actual this how how i get most my high value items with having a very small budget. Id rather trade my coins to help people get what they need other then to sell them. This way both sides get what they want. Even tho I havent realy traded low value coins up to high value coins yet. I seem to have a problem with keeping all the nice stuff I get i also know people have more of a connection with the coins then anything else they own. When I do this its mostly with electronics like computer stuff ect. once I traded a $10 graphics card for a $100 android tablet (before the us tablet market had boomed) My only computer at the time crashed (now i have 6) so I traded the tablet for a brand new still in the book $300 netbook. If i wanted to i could trade the netbook for some nice coins but i already gave it to my 19 month old daughter oh well. so my story dosent have to do with numismatics But I would love to hear some stories that do. Post here and let us know how you are a "barter king"
I traded some ps3 games to a guy for a tin full of coins I came out with a 1921s Morgan and about 100 foreign coins and a peace dollar and a few silver quarters
