What the heck... Is... This.....?

Found this at a garage sale and got it for 50cents, just wondering what it is.

The tokens are from 1968. Shell Oil gave them to customers in a game to collect them all for a prize.

What is it?

I think its called a "paper weight".

 

Several of the petrol companies were giving out goodies when you bought gas back then. I vaguely remember even working on Noah's Ark with all the little animals. I also remember some coin type things, but they were gold coloured. That was a long time ago though and I was just a kid so they are probably in some landfill now.

 

A paper weight with some Shell aluminum tokens in the mix. Nice. 50 cents OK.
