1957 Cent: is this doubling? Also, odd date...

    I found this in a roll today. Is this doubling? Error? Keeper?

    it looks like the top part of the date has taken a hit from something. what is that line coming down from the date to the edge of the coin?

    this is probably because of die wear from lots of use.

    The I is die wear. Can't see what's really going on in the date, it looks normal.
