Once again, I was watching MeTV, but this time it was "The Big Valley" starring Barbara Stanwyck.

This particular episode centered around an underhanded judge who was trying to force the incumbent US Senator to withdraw from the next election. One scene opened showing a silver dollar held between a thumb and forefinger of a hand and as the camera zoomed out, it revealed that it was the judge holding the coin up to a group of townspeople in the street listening to his speech.

The initial close-up of the coin clearly showed that it was a Peace Dollar. The only problem with this is that The Big Valley depicted California life in the 1870's.
