Coin Armour, your self promoting post on your product was removed due to forum rules rather than your comment on my post. So I will answer your last post above.

Neither copper coins nor your product have any "magnetism" to gases. They do not attract the gases, they just interact if chemical contact is made. The only active areas of the intercept product is the inner bag surface, so if more than 1 layer of coins laying flat in a bag, only one will have any direct protection. The roughed up post 1982 cents are 100 % copper and fresh copper will react better than 1 year old copper in a bag. I have no problem if people wish to buy your bags, but there is no magic in them, and no chemical reaction that they can prevent that copper coins can't. That is why I lead off in the quoted part "Its everyone money", as people can choose which they do. I like to be able to replace my copper protection as often as I wish, just by scraping the cents, rather than buying a new bag, but each to their own.

    Hi Jim,

My previous post which was deleted was not about self promotion. Not once was there a mention of products or websites, etc. It was providing information/education on the technology called Intercept. This was in direct response to other members either mocking and/or writing disparaging remarks. However if you felt this was self-promoting, so be it. That is the power of the Mod...no quid pro quo here.

Regarding copper coins or intercept, I never said they were magnetic nor do they attract gases. The issue is about volume of surface area to protect the coins in slabs as gases come in contact with intercept. The intercept bag has probably 25 times more surface area to neutralize gases than a single penny and actually both sides of the bag achieve this. One side stops gases from penetrating, and to the extent gases are inside the bag, the inside surface area will also neutralize the gases. Intercept will also last at least 5 years if not more depending on storage conditions. I personally would prefer to change bags at a mininum every 5 years than run to my safe deposit box every year and scuff up pennies just like you would prefer to scrape your cents as often as you wish. Yes, everyone can make their own informed decision.
