I found this today in a roll. It's nothing special, but once I looked at it through a loop I noticed a big chunk of extra material where the mint mark should have been.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

Curious.. I have seen a few of these types of coins before but i am not sure if they are some sort of lamination, pmd, or what. Hopefully someone can chime in and share some knowledge.

Here's the front, if it helps.

Would you consider it a keeper? Does anyone know if it has any value? I'm not trying to cash it up or anything, just interested in what I stumbled across.

Looks like a lamination peel, but I'd like to see a photo so that the reverse is not at an angle to the lens. Lamination peels are minor error(unless extreme) and might fetch a buck or two.

This is about as zoomed-in as I can get. I still can't find any info on what it is. Nor have I found anything else like it.

Any more thoughts? Is it a keeper?
