Pictures are blurry, but it's obviously hebrew. On the first picture I can make out the top words being the first phrase of the Shema (Sh'ma Yis'ra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad), a sacred blessing. The first picture also depicts the Torah and the ten commandments. I can't tell what the other side says.
Thanks for your reply. What type of coin do you think this could be? What kind of coin would have thr shema on it? Why can I not find any other coin online?
The only words I understand on the reverse are "Ba'it T'filah", meaning "house of prayer" (I think). Sorry, I can't give you much more info on it...
My son who has a collection of Israel coins and commemorative medals suspect it is one of the latter, so might not be in coin references online. Try medals.
