I think I found my first double die! 1974 D Kennedy

Found while CRH'ing. I see some splitting on the R and S in TRUST.

I think I am seeing notching, primarily on the U, but pics are not close enough to tell for sure. I'm leaning towards yes.

 

I took the pics and zoomed in,

 

The last pic is kinda bright, but look at the S

 

It's not in the best shape, but I would say you have one.

Would like to add my confirmation - even with the photos provided, that's definitely the 1974 D DDO (a very easy one to see in hand...) Congratulations!

The S looks like machine doubling damage, but the upper left serif of the U looks good.

 

The coin is definitely a worn out example of the 74-D DDO Kennedy! Congrats!

Nothing beats the satisfaction of finding a coin that's actually a cool variety and the 74-D Kennedy DDO is simply an awesome coin!

Most folks zero in on the Motto but in reality, the doubling is quite pronounced around the entire perimeter of the coin!

You know that these can be found in 1974 Mint Sets? I found my first one in a mint set and I found a beat up example doing some roll searching!

Now start looking for those 1972, 1973-D and 1977-D DDO's!
