I picked one of these up at a coin club swap meet and wonder how scarce it is or where I can read up more on it. The coin is a badly worn (AG-2 or AG-3, if I'm feeling generous). It's apparently cataloged as HT-353: Bucklin's Interest Rates / Book Keeping token (similar to the one linked below): http://www.coinsmonedas.com/2011/12/bucklins-book-keeping-usa-hard-times.html Sorry about the poor pictures - it's hard to focus on a very worn piece:
There are apparently a few other varieties of this token, so I'm not sure if I've got the right ID: http://www.hardtimestokens.com/Bucklins.html
There are eight varieties of the Bucklin's Interest Tables HTT's George. I can't make out much from your pictures but if your example has a "T" under the date then it is an HT 355. Always one of my favorite series of HTT's. Thanks for showing it. Bruce
Of course, that's one of the areas with the highest wear. Go figure. How much would an AG-3 HT355 be worth?
Sorry George it's the HTT 353 that has the "T" under the date not the HTT 355. The HTT 353 is an R-1 so probably not worth more than a few bucks in such poor condition. If you can post sharper pictures I'd like to look at it closer. Bruce
