Yep, he's here. And you can see how he handles the problem by reading this thread: http://www.cointalk.com/threads/chinese-counterfeit-sellers-posing-as-canadians-on-ebay.228903/
I made this post to warn others about buying a counterfeit Morgan. I knew the rules to observe and didn't follow them, great learning tool and I hope nobody else falls for counterfeits.
.097 grams The reason Mike was able to get the fakes and replicas off of ebay in Canada is because in Canada it is illegal to sell a non-genuine coin even if it is marked as a copy or replica. So it was illegal for eBay.ca to list the copies and replicas and all it took was getting some official to inform them that THEY would be responsible for all the violations and they kicked them all off and have become very responsive to reports of fakes on eBay.ca That won't work in the US because marked copies are legal as are older unmarked fakes. So unless the fake is DATED after 1973 it can always be claimed that it was made pre-1973 and therefor legal to list. Now since ebay changed their rules to forbid copies you can fairly get marked copies removed.
Thanks Lanny for posting this. It takes a certain type man to admit to a "mistake" in a public forum. I know you did this only to help out the "next guy" down the line. A well deserved kudos goes out to you. Best of luck on getting your money back
