1884 Three Cent Piece

    This is a scan, so I am sure it washes out the luster.

    Curious what folks think, is it proof or circ. Also what the grade would estimate.

    It has a bit more "reflection" I guess the word is, in your hand, but I wouldnt say its mirrored and there is no real contrast between the head the field.

    Also - I just noticed this - is there some sort of die clash on the headpiece? looks like an upside down A or M or something below the LIBERTY

    Unusually well-struck nickel 3-cent.
    If the "III" isn't fully struck it's darn close.
    Very often the first "I" has a serious gap in the vertical ribs.

    Your images are too small for a full analysis.
    But I know it took me several years to find one as well struck as yours.
    I passed on a MS-66 because of slight but visible flatness on the vertical ribs.
    I ended up with a MS-65 that requires 9x to see the slight flattening.

    Image too small for me to even see what you're talking about, never mind deciding what it is.
