Here is the one I picked up. It's a HTF (Curl 2 Base) 1827 in VF-20 (I'd say) shape in the 2nd photo. The top is a regular 1827 with a square base 2. What do you think?

    :)

    Ben ,
Is the reverse on the 2nd coin rotated?

No, I was just lazy taking the picture :D I do have an 1857 Seated Half slabbed by ANACS which is rotated though. Let me find it, hang on.

I think it must be a real satisfaction to own such a good-looking coin with an 1827 date. My oldest coin (Morgan) is only 1883. Congratulations.--gunsmoke

Drats I don't have a picture loaded on our server. Here it is w/o cropping and combining them.

    Thanks

Ben is there a big value difference in that coin because of the rotation ?

From what I've been told there is really not a premium unless it's 90 degrees or more, course those were dealers telling me that information and I was offered PCGS money for it ;) Now that was about three years ago.

Hey Thanks. That's interesting, it's not listed. The rotation is about 45 degrees though.

I think the last I heard was that there was no value untill it was rotated 15o.....and if yours isn't listed on the site maybe you can send in photos and get it listed---maybe it would turn your coin into a "plate" coin!!!
