Is there a way to figure out a date on a buffalo nickel it has a D mint mark but I can't figure out the dare on it

Nic-a-date seems to work.

 

Where can you get that and does it ruin the coin guess it can't hurt to much since its already datless

 

They call them restored dates. I'm not interested, but there is actually a decent market for the rarer dates. You can find the product on ebay.

vinager takes longer but helps the value. nic-a date is quicker but destroys the value.

if you have a lot of buffs, use nic a date on one and see how you like it, and do the vinegar on another to see ho you like that. chose the one you like the best.

do not add salt to the vinegar!!
