    The images are a little dark, but it looks like either a high XF or a low AU.

    I would like to get a better photo or would it be better to try and scan the coin on a flatbed scanner

    A photo will be better than a scan. Scans tend to wash out any luster that the coin may have giving it an appearance that it is more circulated than it may be.
