They packaged it well and shipped it fast, too. This is a 1971 proof set. Not a big fan of plastic, but this is 1st proof set of coins from decimalisation. I really like the holder. The text reminds me of a rock concert for some odd reason. Why does it say "Northern Ireland"? Why didn't they put UK? Also, what does the R mean in Elizabeth R? You would think it would say Elizabeth II. It has a few scratches, but that's expected with a 42 year old proof set. Remarkably, there is little ghosting.
If that is a mint set (I think so but am not sure), you should ask the mint. They may even tell you that "UK" is short for "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" ... What do you think does the "REG ·" on the other side mean? Christian
I've bought from the cheap slab store, before, their prices are reasonable and the products looks very nice.
It's good somebody's selling these mint/proof sets, but I can find every one of these at EVERY coin show in my immediate area. It seems that there is a low-demand and/or high-mintage situation here. If you like British Commonwealth, Dominican Republic, or Israel proof/mint sets, then cheapslabs is for you.
