Yes it would be satin finish !! all for the mint sets where done in satin finish !! satin finish is basically more smoothed dies also they have frosted devices like the bust and the lettering !
In 2005 the US Mint decided to adopt a "Satin Finish" for all the coins within the US Mint Sets. This continued through 2010. A "Satin Finish" is nothing more than a special matte finish produce with higher tonnage presses. Distinguishing a Satin Finish coin from a high grade business strike can be quite challenging and the TPG's ALWAYS lean toward a Satin Finish Designation. For 2009, there were three finishes used to produce Kennedy Half Dollars (and all other coins for that matter). 1. Regular Business Strike Sold in Bags and Rolls by the US Mint 2. Satin Finish for the US Mint Sets 3. Proof Finish for the US Proof Sets.
