    I wrote a short web page about Roman imperial coins with legend including SECVRITAS, which has an obvious modern meaning which is not quite the same as its meaning on early Roman imperial coins.

    R: SECVRIT PERP Securitas standing left, leaning on column.

    The Tacitus seems to partake of the Caracalla (original) meaning so when did the switch occur?
