U. S. Mint Offers Free Shipping Beginning 7/26

    According to their website, free standard shipping for all online domestic orders. I don't think I've ever seen this before.

    Why would they announce this beforehand? Did they not want anyone to place orders before Friday?

    Actually, back in 2000 they had the offer for free shipping when they were getting their web store up and running.

    Maybe they are doing it to celebrate the new ordering platform which opens in 2011......i mean 2012.......sorry, i mean this year...........or is it next year?

    Let's see years ago they didn't charge a shipping fee, the fee was built into the price of the item. And that fee was enough to actually ship five sets in the same box. So if you bought one set you paid one fee and got one set. If you bought five sets you paid five fees, got one box with five sets in it and they pocketed the other four fees.
