I'll tell you what, boys, I just looked up this #4. That's one very discreet doubled die. You know, when you think about it, every die is double struck. This one is just so minutely off some expert spots it for the first time with a microscope and it's like he discovered America or something. But this just may be that #4 doubled die. But, even if it is--and, no disrespect, whatsoever, intended--I can take it or leave it. I have to be able to see these things. I hate to be so fussy, but I insist on that.

    I don't think it's a DDO either, from what I can see.

It is not a #4. Look at the "W" in "WE". #4 is counter clockwise, the photo here ( and not saying it is a doubled die as it is too banged up to tell) is clockwise.

Thanks for all your view and Expert Advise.I know this one is hard to tell without extreemly clear view of the Penny. And I just don't have miscroscope to photograph that close detail,yet...

Hey,...the majority of significant die markers for the 1972 P DDO #4 are located on the reverse. If you were to submit some clear close up images of the reverse, the attribution would be relatively easy. Although far less dramatic than the DDO #1 of Philadelphia's notorious 1972 cavalcade of Lincoln DDO's,...the #4 is by no means subtle, and anyway, its ever increasing value results from its rarity. Good luck!

We need clearer pics and of the reverse. But IMO, that S in TRUST, in the overall pic, does not match.
