FINALLY! Something other than a WAM cent. I know its not the 001 but its my first, no questions asked, DDO. Thanks for all the help and support that you guys & gals give me. I just started searching the 71/72 box and have about $15 worth to still go through. Thx again.
Guys. You're not gonna beleive me. I'm having a hard time beleive it myself, but I'm shaking so much I can't take a picture right now. I just found a 1971 DDO-001.
This makes up for my embarassing moment when I thought I discovered a new 1957d rpm, that ended up being a remarkably placed hair that was the exact shape of the mintmark. I had people in 2 forums excited, what a let down that was. Burned my bum real good lol.
Cazkaboom, they were literally discovered them within 20 coins of each other. Now I went through about $5 worth and nothing but a MD. LOL. I've been spoiled.
Just finished the rest of them. Nothing else. BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING TODAY! Oh man. I'm so excited, I wanna breakdance!
Now here is my dilemma. I have over 120 lbs of copper cents. All mixed up in plastic coffee cans (10 lbs each) and I know for a fact that I have about 50lbs of coins I haven't searched for 1960 small dates, 1971 DDO's,1972 DDO's or any mintmarks, but I've been too lazy to sort through the bunch. And since I've moved them around a bit, I don't know which ones to search lol.
if you acquire them from roll searching separate them as you get them in different piles and then put them in designated cans. I use small freezer bags. why handle them twice to separate?
I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS!!! Yet another 72 DDO. It was in my MM bin by mistake. I pulled it out, saw there was no MM, and tossed it in the inspected bin. Then I realized it was a 72, so I pulled it....and took a look at it. LOL
Ok. Seriously. This creates a new issue. I have 120 lbs of copper. Most of it I didn't search, so now I have to research all of it because I didn't keep track of what was searched. I had close to 80 lbs when I joined this forum
