I always thought about that left coast thing... Seeing that die varieties produced a lot of coins in the early overall batch made for the year(most DDs are made while getting the hub pressure right early on right?). That would mean that most of those coins would be sent to the same area right? If that is true than we over here in surferville looking for a Phillie variety are almost on a snipe hunt or sorts and if our mint had one it wouldn't matter because ours does not do circulation coins..
I've been averaging 25% to 33% in copper coins per lot, so gauging from the 120+ lbs of copper cents I have, I've looked through approx. 65,000 to 80,000 coins since January, to find 10 WAMs.

That's a great find for the west coast!! I have found a 1998 and a 2000 so far.. Just started looking a few months ago. I want to find the 1999, that seems to be the hard one to find!
