In about two weeks I am planning on attending my first coin show. I have no idea what to expect. Are there any things I should look for, any things I should look out for? Any feedback to this thread will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Here are a couple of things that I took away from my first show:

    1. Walk the floor first before you buy anything. It is tempting to walk up to one dealer and spend every dollar you have. While there is nothing wrong with that, it is advisable to get the big picture of the floor first.
    2. Take cash only. It just makes things easier.
    3. If you are looking for supplies, there are plenty of options and you can spend some of your cash there.
    4. Haggling is OK, but be nice and don't treat the coin dealer like a car dealer.
    5. If you take a bag to bring stuff out with, keep it with you and if you sit down put it in between your feet.

MY $0.02. Above all, enjoy the show. I spent a few hours just walking around and looking. The dealers at the shows I go to are none to shy about asking me to spend money with them - I suspect it will be the same for you. Buy what you want, and keep the "No, thanks" right on the tip of your tongue. :)

Hey, thanks for the advice. I'll try to keep all that in mind when I go.
Is there any area that seems to be "under priced" that I might keep an eye out for?

    Not really....

The thing you have to remember about coin shows are that things that are underpriced should be paid much more scrutiny than those that seem in line from the pricing perspective.

"if it looks too good to be true...."
