    Hey gang!

I got the pleasure to handle this coin today for a customer. This coin has been in a safe deposit box for more than 25 years before today. It is the only MS67 graded by PCGS and it is a pop 1 none higher. It's on the way to CAC.

I thought it was neat and wanted to share.

Simply amazing, early gold 67's hardly surface these days.

Wow, that is a stunner! No (unattractive) toning, virtually flawless fields...and a 1st Gen OGH slab to boot!

I like it but don't really see it getting a bean.

Absolutely--I am sure it will be a green bean coin. Incredible eye appeal.

If that coin doesn't, which one will? Classic CAC coin.

According to Garrett & Guth there are 2 or 3 1895 $5 in 67, with the last one selling in 2004 for about $11,000. That's based on data from 2006.

As to the grade, I have no problems with it ;)

PCGS pop only shows this coin in its census. There is another 67 in an NGC holder... but I believe it to be an inferior coin.

I'd sure rather throw 10k + at a coin like that instead of something modern and stupid like a 60 something jefferson nickel with full steps...that I'd spend as pocket change.
