The only thing wrong with the map is that it is 300 years older than the coin. We need a historical atlas that updates as lands changed hands to keep it straight.

Still struggling with whether to post as full images or thumbnails using the new software. Not sure which option I like better.

My bad => yah, I once had a self-updating historical atlas, but foolishly I traded it for a worn-out Widow's mite (sadly, later I found out that these coins are merely a dime a dozen!!)

    ;)

ahaha ... oh, and what was that word that Doug found, regarding a person "talking above their sandals"? (basically, talkin' about stuff outside of their zone of knowledge) ... that was another nick-name where we stuck 'x6' on the end!!

    ;)

I don't think you can get in that much trouble up there with the summer we are having steve. People should be dancing in the streets out of joy that it isn't constantly cold and raining like last summer.

Winter however I can see you getting in trouble. You have to get in a ruckus just to stay warm.

My Severus Alexander is a bit in the ugly side. I will see if I can't post it later but right now it's off to enjoy this summer while it lasts.

=> I totally agree => we are having a fantastic summer!! (it is only 1/2 over and we've already had more good weather than most total-summers!! ... the down-side is that there are a whole lotta forest fires burnin' up here in Smokeville!!

=> we are heading back to Vancouver Island in a couple of weeks for our annual vacation (have you ever had the chance to visit that part of the country?)

Yeah, I have family out there so I spent a lot of time in that area during my teens when mom and dad still footed the bill and I didn't have this nasty coin addiction. Haven't been there in a solid 6 years or so besides the airport. My sights turned international.

I always enjoyed the west coast. Downtown Vancouver is great to wander around in and the island has some nice breweries.

Okay, "Deal" => that's job #1 => treat our chicks like we're still courtin' em!!

    ... anyway ...

Ummm, do you think I owe her some special treatment? (yes, the poor chick has put up with all of my crap during our past ... ummm seriously, anybody that would even think of marrying this guy deserves a great vacation, correct?) ... ahhh, Canada Day (that was one fine party!!)

How long did you hold that pose?

    Awesome coin!

ahahaha ... probably not too long ... yah, when I'm hammered, I'm kinda like the human high-light-reel (or perhaps it's the low-light reel?) => anyway, there is always gonna be another pose/screw-up that is just as non-photogenic!!

    => I'm like a blooper-reel!!

    ;)

Motto => burn like a fricken comet ... good times!!

Steve that is a mighty fine goblet you have there. Fun-sized would be the perfect description. A vacation is always a good thing someday I may actually get some of those vacation days (hopefully soon I am applying to a new job where I would actually get benefits. Brave new world for me)

Anyways I might as well add something constructive to the conversation.

I think the best part about mine is that I paid under 10 bucks for it!
