Hi. I have a 1935 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, graded by PCGS about 6 years ago. I've had a few people tell me they are surprised it didn't grade higher and I should put it in for regrade. Interested in your opinions, both on the Grade of this coin and on the risk / reward of potential regrade with PCGS. Did my best with the pics. There are scuff marks on the holder, but the marks above "e plubibus" are on the coin. Any contributions welcome. Thanks
It would be nice to know what it was graded, but IMHO it doesn`t look above a 62 . The strike may have been weak in their eyes .
That's probably my poor photography. I'll need to practice taking better pics sometime. I'll reveal grade when thread seems done. Thanks for the response.
It is hard to tell what is on the holder and what is on the coin, but it looks like a nice MS-64 to me.
I see it as an AU-55 to AU-58. A person has to really have it in hand and twirl it a little to see any rub or luster breaks so a MS grade wouldn't surprise, but I seem to see some rub in the photos. I would give it an AU-58, TPG might do the lower.
I'm thinking AU58. The luster seems to be nice, but there seem to be definite breaks. 1935 was average as far as strike is concerned. And the flatness on Liberty's drapery and the Eagles leg are wear.
Ok, probably my bad pictures. Here it is. So change of subject. What risk, if any of sending in a 66+ looking for a 67 ? Thanks
