I'm sorry but I posted a link to this on another thread to make a response to something so in truth you can all blame me for this pointless argument. I apologize.
Don't feel bad, there's no issues with you. Redwin is just one of those Preparation H needing inconviences that we have to deal with in life.
I decided to come back here to see if this forum has changed at all. apparently, it has not. I, in fact, am not Redwin. It would be stupid, pointless, and illegal to have an IP check. You all are the most sorry bunch of collectors on any forum I have ever seen. no other forum I have been on has had this much hate towards just one user, especially a user who is very proud of his coin and should be, as it is a very unique and special coin.
How is it illegal for the owner of a forum, or his designated moderators, to go in and see the IP of users to verify there are no matches? When you register for this forum and many many others your IP is automatically logged as a unique identifier. You are nothing more than a petulant sockpuppeting troll.
Guys, I'm on neither side. Redwin takes a lot of pride in his coin. Don't do this to him. Just forget about this thread, you never know if kennedyhalf1964 was a newbie! Just don't make other people feel bad about not having a double denomination redwin. Your very lucky to have it!
Not necessarily. For example, 1960s Rhodesian British Colony coins had both a pence/shilling and a cents equivalent denomination.
You just haven't been around long enough to see that any mention of a double denomination can and WILL result in the hijacking of the thread by the thread with a page-long explanation of his coins submission history and story. It's not that we don't like redwin...it's his posting practices. Think about it, we are trying to enjoy a seemingly innocent thread about a cool coin someone posts, and someone else butts in with what is borderline spam due to the amount of times it has been posted. This derails the original purpose of the thread, forcing our attention on a coin we have seen too many times to care about anymore.
Latvia just issued a circulating 1 lats commem dedicated to the euro changeover. The coin shows the face value in both euro and lats. The official conversation rate is €1 = L 0.702804, so this 1 lats is worth €1.42 ... Christian
This thread is too funny. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. For those long time posters who don't want to see the "infamous" coin, and roll your eyes when a thread starts to go south, I feel for you. Nothing like a little humility!
