If it's local, why does it have to be sight unseen? Have you asked to view them?

No, I'd want to look through them first, but it could be good.

I miss the "Off Topic" emoticon because I'd use it now but...
Valparaiso Indiana? I grew up in Crown Point and much of my family still lives there. My Grandfather and Father owened a construction company there in Valpo for many years...it's the building by the overpass off US 30 near the airport with the big green "T."

For you guys from da Region - there is a new coin shop in St. John. Opened a couple months ago with nice coins, an orderly shop and what seems like a nice guy running the place.

I see between 200 and 400 coins. Without more information about what is in the group I would have to assume common world minors, probably mostly 20th century so he is asking full retail for identified, 2X2's common foreign. I could do as well buying any dealers foreign junkbox. With more information it might be worthwhile.

Look down the list of comments. He was offered $350 for them.

So what. As I said without more information to judge what is there I can do as well buying a dealers junk box. Sure there might be something good there, or the the guy who offered $350 may find that he paid $200 too much. With the info given I wouldn't have offered more than about $40 to $60. Around ten cents a coin.
