I usually have better luck with halves out of teller trays - seems like most rolls in my area have been picked through.

A mere $11.50 in CWR cents from my local bank this morning, ho hum me thinks, but then it happened:

And to think I nearly cheet my breeches when I found the roll of silver dimes on Tuesday. That is a 1903 IHC from the very first roll I opened. I ended up finding two more 50s wheats, a 1950 GVI cent from Canada, a YH from Canada and two dimes. That 1903 is the 9th IHC I have found since 2007 - I haven't been searching cents much - and then a find like this comes along and makes me want to search more.

Searched a box of Nickels did not have any luck finding any silver but I found 33 pre 1960 nickels only kept the S Mints though, but I did find a 1938D Jefferson Nickel was planning on keeping that one.

I mean like seriously, my Lucky Charm and my driver and personal Russian body guard, also worked her magic with my nickels - a '43-P and a '45-P that the latter was also an ender on the roll.

This has been a butt spankin' week for finding silver and 100+ year old coins in rolls.

Wow again! Today I picked up my 2nd box of halves for the week (yesterday, I had 13 silvers and thought that was good). Today, I immediately noticed 2 enders on the top layer of the box and one was a 1964. After searching the rolls, I ended up having 6 enders in the box (with 3 of them being 1964s).

I opened all the non-ender rolls and found quite a few silvers. Then had my kids (5 and 7) help me with the ender rolls. My daughter won the contest with the most silvers in a roll with 10.

After all said and done, here is what I got:
    Image208.jpg
    7x90% (1 Franklin, 6x1964)
    56x40%

10.81 ozs of silver (at 19.33/oz, approx $209)

It would have been better if I had 56 90%ers but I'm not complaining. To me, this is a MONSTER BOX!!! It's been a great week for me!

Monday, I found my first silver metal detecting (1937 Quarter)
Tuesday, I found one silver War Nickel in a box
Wednesday, I found 13 silver halves in a box and also got 45 ozs of silver coins for $500
and Thursday (today), I found 63 silvers in a box.
I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow! :)

Congrats Tabor!!!! Wow! Me like. Looks like the silver fairy has left SoCal and has been spotted heading east to IN. My last 4 boxes were 99% brand new 2001D's.

Thanks BC. I've heard a lot of ppl have that same problem with boxes of the same date but thankfully it hasn't happened to me.

in a wheat roll with 2 Indian head ends, one end was an AU naturally toned rainbow 1905 Indian head cent with 2 diamonds, plus 5 other indians, the rest were wheats from the 40s and 50s, but I'm still happy

$116 CWR/BWR nickels - 41-D, 42-S, 53-S & a 64 proof. Plus, a bunch of the CWRs were full of Westward Journey ones - like $40-50 worth. I guess someone finally realized it was a waste of money to hold them.

So, I picked up this Box of Nickels...and noticed that it was a box from the future. Do you think 2014, 2015 and 2016 nickels have a premium? :)

Box of Nickels (from the future): 47 pre1960, 1944P War, 1995 CND

Today is the 200th day of 2013 and my original goal was to get 365 silvers this year. I will have to reassess my goal.

    2013: Day #200
Silver Found CRH: 324 (49 Wars, 8 Dimes, 267 Halves)
My new goal is now 500 silvers for the year.
