Fake Jefferson nickel ?

    Got this in change today.
    Its ether one hard worn or damaged nickel. No.date and more make it look like a fake.
    Nickel melts hot as 1890degree + . Its odd fore sure .

    eek! What a mess. I don't about it being fake, but the molten metal looks like it came from an external source.

    Looks like acid damage to me. Also keep in mind a nickel has more copper than nickel in it.

    House fire. Didn't get hot enough to melt the nickel but hot enough to melt other things. I've been through a house fire and seen coins like that.

    Some one tried to melt it I think o_O I too have seen nickel that have been in a Home fire and most were not looking like this 1 .
