Any scratches that appear are from lint, dust, etc on the surface of the case, not on the coin itself. I apologize for the poor picture quality (my macro lens is in for repair, so these are shot with the wife's pos point-and-shoot--hopefully you can zoom in to see the detail).

I was thinking somewhere around MS63, am I wrong? I bought it in a bin of coins for $30.00, wasn't until I got home and went through them that I realized what I had here.

    Thanks in advance,

Any chance you could upload photos taken straight on (from the top looking directly down)?

    Hello, Non_cents:

Thanks for the reply. I tried with no success. I either have an underexposed shot or an overexposed shot; neither of which provided enough detail to post on CT.

I have since but the coin back in the SDP.

As I mentioned before, any and all insight would be much appreciated!

It looks like Ms 64, but photos are too small to be sure.

Here are some new photos; the best that I can get. What are your thoughts? IMG_1721.JPG IMG_1724.JPG IMG_1725.JPG IMG_1726.JPG

I'd guess 64 RB. By the way, looks like an S/S.

Hello, Mike1487. Thanks for the information.

    Is the S/S a repunch?

Yep. There's an S/S northeast (yours), and also an S/horizontal S. Should add some value to it.

    Yet another pleasant surprise.

Can I ask what type of book/guide you're using that shows the different varieties in it?

Thank you both for the information.

I have been debating getting it slabbed...I think I will though.

Non_cents, what do you think this would grade as? MS64 also?

I would say MS64RB, that is a nice top 100 RPM. Nice find!!

Next question, does this coin have a nice eye appeal for you?

I will give you a stab. Maybe it is your pictures, but I am seeing a light rub on the cheek/jaw. I am going to guess 62 saying that they would call that cabinet friction.

I'd give it a 63. Very nice coin.

You are correct about the wear on the cheek/jaw rlm's cent. It is slight, but it is present.

When I just look at the small pictures it looks to be around a 63 in my opinion. And it could just be the pictures. Now when I blow it up it looks like a little rub across the obverse on the cheek, beard, ear - but that could be the pictures are large.

    Nice pickup in any case.
